Cookie Policy

What this site stores in your browser, and how to stay in control of it.

Last updated · May 2026

This site takes a minimal approach to cookies and browser storage. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party profiling. This page explains what little is stored and how you can control it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website can store in your browser, and "local storage" is a related mechanism for keeping small preferences on your device. Both let a site remember things between visits. They can be useful for preferences, or invasive when used for tracking. This site uses them only for the former.

What this site stores

  • Theme preference. Your choice of light or dark mode is saved in your browser's localStorage so the site looks the way you left it. This never leaves your device.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics. Aggregate usage may be measured to understand which content is useful. Where this uses any cookie, it is first-party, short-lived, and not used to build a personal profile or to track you across other sites.

What this site does not use

There are no advertising cookies, no marketing pixels, no social-media trackers, and no cookies that follow you around the web. Your reading here is not sold or shared for targeting.

Third-party embeds

Some pages may embed external content such as videos or interactive widgets. When you interact with an embed, the third-party provider may set its own cookies under its own policy. These are loaded only where the content requires them, and you can avoid them by not interacting with the embed.

Controlling cookies

You are always in control. Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies and clear local storage from its privacy or settings menu. Clearing this site's storage simply resets your theme preference. Blocking cookies will not break your ability to read the content here.
